DistiSuisse is a true success story. The number of judged products has been increasing for years. More and more distilleries are having their products judged. At the last event, more than 600 samples of spirits were submitted by over 100 companies to be judged by the strictly selected jury of experts under the direction of Agroscope.
More and more lateral entrants
In recent years, the DistiSuisse managers have noticed two different trends. One is the trend towards products such as gin, whisky and rum. More and more products are being submitted in this category.
On the other hand, one notices that more and more lateral entrants are venturing into the distillate trade. And some of them are doing so with great success. This is a challenge to the existing suppliers, but it also makes the industry more diverse and flexible.
Closing event on 27 October in Lucerne
The highlight of DistiSuisse is the closing ceremony with the award ceremony. Those who receive an award here can be justifiably proud of their performance.
This year's closing event will take place at the end of October on the premises of the Swiss Hotel Management School and at the Hotel Montana in Lucerne.
