BCB 2026: Bar Convent Berlin Kicks Off Its 20th Edition

From October 12 to 14, 2026, the international bar and beverage industry will gather at the Berlin Exhibition Grounds for the 20th edition of Bar Convent Berlin (BCB).

Since its debut in 2007, the BCB has become one of the world’s leading industry gatherings. With new formats, fresh perspectives, and a fundamentally revamped education concept, the BCB is consistently looking to the future.

At the heart of the reorientation is the Embassy Stage. The former Main Stage will be transformed into an interactive hub that combines knowledge sharing, exchange, and hospitality. An open-space design with a lounge-like atmosphere fosters a closer connection between speakers and the audience. In the future, panels, fireside conversations, and select keynote addresses will place greater emphasis on dialogue, discussion, and personal interactions.

In terms of content, the new education program is based on the three pillars of Heads, Hearts & Tails. Inspired by the distillation process, the concept combines future-oriented topics, human perspectives, and practical expertise. From innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship to leadership, diversity, and mental health, all the way to techniques that can be directly applied to everyday bar work, the program offers a holistic educational experience for the international hospitality industry.

The initial lineup of speakers also showcases the breadth of the new program. Among those confirmed are Vijay Mudaliar and Giacomo Gianotti, who will discuss drink design and the connection between creativity and hospitality. Fermentation expert Alexis Goertz will offer insights into wild fermentation, while Kevin Kos will join international bar professionals to discuss how bars outside of established cocktail hubs are setting new standards.

In 2026, there will also be a special focus on the rapidly growing “Low & No” segment. In her keynote address, Low & No Ambassador Camille Vidal will highlight the importance of non-alcoholic and reduced-alcohol concepts for the future of the hospitality industry. The program will be complemented by the Embassy Bar, operated by the multi-award-winning Bar Foco from Barcelona, which will showcase innovative Low & No drinks.

With new educational formats, more interaction, and international insights, the 20th edition of the BCB showcases how the bar and beverage industry is evolving and which topics will shape the hospitality world of tomorrow.
