Following The World’s 50 Best Bars, North America’s 50 Best Bars, and Asia’s 50 Best Bars, Europe now has its own platform. The ranking celebrates outstanding bar experiences and offers guests and industry professionals a reliable guide to Europe’s diverse bar culture.
Athens Tops the New Ranking
Line in Athens took first place. The runner-up, The Bar in Front of the Bar, is also located in the Greek capital. Sips from Barcelona came in third. Rounding out the top 5 are Himkok in Oslo and Bar Nouveau in Paris.

Late Bloomers is the best bar in Switzerland
With Zurich’s Late Bloomers, a Swiss bar has also made it into the first edition of Europe’s 50 Best Bars. Its 44th-place finish also marks the highest Swiss ranking in the new European list.
The team led by Vangelis, Aineias, and Stelios was delighted with the award and is looking forward to the coming years with great enthusiasm. In addition to the 50 best bars in Europe, several special awards were also presented. The World’s 50 Best Bars awards ceremony will take place on October 7, 2026, in Milan.
