From a first fill ex-bourbon cask

The first single malt whisky from Uri

On 14 November 2015, the first single malt whisky from Uri was distilled by Urs Lüthy from a mash from the Stiär Biär microbrewery.

After a maturing period of five years, the whisky made from pure spring water from Uri has now been bottled. The dream of the five founding members of the Whisky Club Uri and their now approx. 50 members has now come true.

On 17 October 2020, the board lovingly filled the bottles by hand at Urs Lüthy's, labelled them and brought them to Uri for storage.

In addition to the Bristenstock, the upper part of the label shows the protected name Urwhisky 2015 with the Uristiär and the Zeughaus Altdorf, where the whisky was distilled five years ago.
