Because of the Corona pandemic

ZAGG 2020 cancelled

The organisers announced in their press release of 14 July that there will be no Zagg in 2020. The reason given is the Corona pandemic and the associated planning uncertainty.
ZAGG 2020 was cancelled and postponed to 2022.

It would only have been possible to hold the fair under certain conditions, which would not have done justice to the character of the gastronomy fair. "The cancellation was very difficult for us," says exhibition manager Suzanne Galliker. "Especially in the current difficult times, we would have been happy to be there for exhibitors and restaurateurs. But the Corona pandemic is forcing us to forego the fair this year. The health of everyone involved has the highest priority."

The cancellation at this point in time is intended to provide clarity for exhibitors and partners.

Unclear development harbours risks

The decisive factor for the decision was the great uncertainty. It is not clear how the pandemic will develop and what requirements would have to be met in the autumn. The lack of planning certainty represents a business risk for all involved. The exhibition management does not want to impose any high requirements on the exhibitors.

The next ZAGG, trade fair for the catering and hotel industry, will be held in Lucerne from 23 - 26.10.2022.
