Meininger Verlag swallows Mixology

Meininger Verlag buys the media brand Mixology. This was announced by the German publisher of numerous wine, beer and beverage magazines.

In addition to the printed Mixology magazine, other brands such as Mixology Online or the Mixology Bar Awards also switch to Meininger Verlag.

Mixology cites private reasons for the sale of the magazine, which was published for the first time in 2003. With Meininger, a good publishing house has now been found that can continue the existing media and events. Managing director and co-initiator of Mixology, Jens Hasenbein: "We had a fantastic time with our magazine and the community of readers that has grown up around it".

Helmut Adam, the second co-founder of Mixology, is also happy about the follow-up solution: "Of all the possible interested parties, the chemistry at Meininger Verlag was simply the best fit right from the start. There is, as with us, a strong entrepreneurial DNA that gives employees a lot of freedom and development opportunities." Helmut Adam will continue to accompany the magazine as publisher.
