The presentation of the coveted trophies of the Swiss Bar Awards is the crowning glory for many bar players in each new year. The special thing about this award is its significance. It refers to the work performance of the candidates within a whole working year. The eagerly awaited long list already proves every year once again how committed and diverse the Swiss bar scene presents itself.

Barkeeper of the year
Born in 1999 and older, working full-time in the bar business
The supreme discipline. The best Barkeeper (m/f) of the year convinces with hospitality, creativity and expertise.
Best Barkeeper Talent
Born 2000 to 2004, working full-time or part-time in the bar business
The award for the greatest up-and-coming talent in the Swiss bar scene.
Best Bar Team
A bar team consisting of at least three people
team that is popular with guests, employees and bar professionals thanks to exemplary personnel management.
Best Hotel Bar
Bar and at the same time figurehead of a hotel
Hotel bar, which convinces locals and guests by service, quality, location and hospitality.
Best Newcomer Bar
New or reopening January 1, 2022 or later
Locations that have recently reopened or undergone extensive renovations.
Best Longseller Bar
A place to be for over 10 years
Locations with strong charisma, anchored in the bar scene for over a decade.
Best Bar Menu
Attractive bar menu in printed or digital form
Entertaining bar menu with contemporary offer, which you will not want to put down even after ordering.
Application process underway
This year, the Swiss Bar Awards will be presented on Wednesday, October 25, 2023. Until then, a competent jury of experts will evaluate, check and test those Barkeeper and bar businesses that have applied for one of the awards.
The application period has already begun. Until May 31, 2023, Barkeeper or bar operators can apply online or submit a recommendation for Barkeeper or bars. Participation in the Swiss Bar Awards is free of charge.

Award Night 2023
At the big Award Night on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at the Trafo Baden, the coveted awards in seven categories will be ceremoniously handed over. In addition to numerous surprises and a fine dinner, the mixing of the three finalists on the big stage in the category "Barkeeper of the year" is considered one of the highlights of the evening.
It's worth attending for many reasons. The Swiss Bar Awards not only honor the best players in seven categories. They exude networking character, are an annual reunion of the entire Swiss bar spectrum, as well as a unique
night for all those present and those who might be for the first time this year.
