By eliminating the can and introducing a significantly lighter recycled glass, CO2 emissions from the packaging of the single malt are reduced by 65 percent. The new design contains an average of 60 percent recycled glass and is 32 percent lighter than the previous bottle. This reduces the brand's global environmental impact by reducing the number of delivery vehicles on the road and allowing more bottles to be transported per pallet.
Douglas Taylor, CEO of Bruichladdich Distillery, explains: "The new Classic Laddie bottle marks a significant step for Bruichladdich. This is much more than just a new bottle design. It changes the direction for the brand and the way we operate as a
values-driven company."
The new bottle is available in Switzerland with immediate effect.
