The preparatory work for the expansion of Appenzeller Alpenbitter AG was challenging. First, the new access road for logistics was built. In future, this will separate the existing traffic flows in front of the existing company building. The new access road runs along the eastern side of the Appenzeller Bahnen viaduct and leads through a viaduct arch to the new building.
The symbolic laying of the foundation stone took place on October 24, 2023. "We are keeping this historic moment in a time capsule for ourselves and future generations," says a delighted Pascal Loepfe-Brügger (center), Managing Director of Appenzeller Alpenbitter AG. Company expansion on track
If everything goes according to plan, the extension can be occupied in fall 2024. From mid-August 2024 until February 2025, the second
stage will follow with the addition of a storey to the existing warehouse. The current offices will be extended in March 2025. These should be ready for occupation from mid-August 2025, which will complete the project.
