Turicum Gin Lab

The Turicum Gin Lab is suitable for all those who would like to slip into the role of an alchemist. After a tour of the Turicum Distillery and an introduction to the history and production of gin, you will create your very own gin with the help of 51 different botanicals, which you will then take home in an elegant gift box.

Gin tour

Create your own gin. In our gin tour we show you the artisanal production. After the introduction to the production of gin, you create your own gin in small teams. Cherry sarcophagus visit

The founding home of the Rigi Kirsch - the world's first vintage cherry house - is home to Switzerland's culinary cherry heritage. Brands such as Etter, Dettling, Fassbind, as well as vintage cherry brandies from long-defunct cherry distilleries are preserved, cherished and cared for here. Immerse yourself in the multisensory cherry sensory experience and learn about the diversity of fine cherry brandies.

Passion for high quality distillates

As one of the few distilleries in Switzerland, we first produce Snowside Vodka from 100 percent Swiss barley as the basis for our Lakeside Gin. For our single malt whiskies, we also use malting barley grown especially for us in the region. This is of course also malted in Switzerland. Visit our unique boutique distillery and immerse yourself in the world of grain distillates.

Herb world in Appenzell - experience for all senses

A visit to the herb world brings you closer to the well-kept secret: the original recipe for Appenzeller Alpenbitter. On the tour you can learn exciting facts about the 42 herbs, the Appenzell distilling tradition and the history of the family business. Experience and entertainment are guaranteed. Experience and taste beers

Have you always wanted to know more about the history, production and flavors of beers? If so, then our beer seminar is the right place for you. During a tour of the Schützengarten Beer Experience World, the basic secrets of brewing beer will first be revealed and the world of making the oldest beverage in the world will be explained. After an introduction to the history of beer, a wide variety of brew creations will then be tasted.

Brewery Square is open! Take a look into the brewers' pots on a short tour of the brewhouse and discover the forty or so beer specialties, delicacies made from spent grains, and our Säntis Malt Whiskies in the new store. Taste the new Locher Craft Beers on tap and test your strength. Because the Craft Beers are not for soft-flushed taste buds of the watery kind. Thirsty? The Brauquöll team is looking forward to your visit.

Appenzell Whisky Trek

The tour consists of 26 stops in the Alpstein Mountains and combines hiking with enjoyment. Each section ends at a mountain inn where an individually aged whisky is served. The tour of the barrels alone is an experience. The inn's own whisky is available by the glass or to take home in collector's bottles. These are filled and signed by the mountain host (caskkeeper) on site. Those who have collected all the bottles receive a handmade leather belt with a real silver buckle from Appenzell belt maker Roger Dörig as a reward.

Have you always wanted to know how an aromatic beer is created? Or how spirits are produced? Then our brewery and distillery tour is just the right thing for you. You will discover all stages of production up to the final product. The guided visit lasts about 2 hours. The crowning finale is a beer tasting.

Orma: highest whisky distillery in the world
