Also included are a premium bed & breakfast with 10 rooms, business flats, an event location, an Honesty Bar with Smoker Lounge and a walk-in shop.
Experience is in demand
"Our history shows that Macardo lovers don't just want to buy our products - they want to be part of the Macardo experience," explains owner Andreas Bössow. Macardo has stood for first-class Swiss premium whiskies and spirits such as gin, sloe gin, rum, vodka, vermouth and fruit brandies since 2015. A very large number of awards at the International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC) testify to a very high standard of quality.
Sustainable multigenerational project
The new building, a multi-generation project, is based on a sustainability concept that is unique in the distillery scene. "No other distillery is designed like Macardo. We use firewood, solar energy, geothermal energy, water from our own source and regional ingredients. Thanks to our cycle, no log, no kWh, no litre of water and no raw material is wasted," says Andreas Bössow.
