The BCB team is aware of their responsibility, on the one hand as a trade fair that brings many thousands of people together in one place, but also as part of a globally networked bar scene. "So our goal is to offer an alternative event format in autumn. If our exhibitors and visitors can't come to us, then we have to come to them," says BCB Director Petra Lassahn.
Online offers play the biggest role, but it is also being examined how bars as the heart of the fair and alternative locations can be included. "Especially because the industry is suffering worldwide from the consequences of the Covid 19 pandemic, we need a meeting place to draw strength, learn from each other, exchange ideas and look forward again with confidence," Petra Lassahn continues.
