Martin Bornemann wins competition

This year, the Basel BarTender anniversary competition was organized by Thomas Huhn, Pascal Kunz, and Milena Niklaus. Due to COVID-19, this event had to be held in a new format and behind closed doors.

The Basel BarTender association is a network of the Basel bar scene and represents a total of 38 local bar and restaurant businesses through its members. This association celebrated its 5th anniversary in April. As in previous years, this also included a Barkeeper competition.

The six finalists had to create a final drink from a black box (filled exclusively with local products), which was judged by a jury of four experts. The motto of the competition was, in keeping with the situation, "Simplicity - less is more". The following members made it onto the podium:
