It was one of the first cafés in the city to offer a real Italian coffee. After a change of ownership, the café was closed for a total refurbishment and will reopen its doors to guests in December 2019 as Cafe Bar Black1966.
The café was redesigned in colour by the Danish artist Malene Bach. "With the new concept, the café is to become an InLokal and scene meeting place again - just like it was one in the 60s," says manager Christian Studer. Special features include a Caffè al Bar for CHF 3.00, breakfast until 3.00 p.m., cakes baked by fans of the Blacks, freshly cooked daily menus and, in addition to excellent drinks, beer in a pitcher.
