The team always keeps its promise. Unique moments are created by the extraordinary flair that the individual, different hosts exude to their guests.
The Karel Korner team, whose name was originally supposed to be Ecke 30, has been considered the best in all of Switzerland since the SWISS BAR AWARDS 2021. Of course, this was duly celebrated immediately after the Award Night at Winkelriedstrasse 30. In a way, it was like a family party.

In the Lucerne corner pub, it is family affairs that intrinsically create a feel-good atmosphere. Not only for guests, but also for the team, who have created their own, much-vaunted second living room there through their trusting bond.
The award is more than the icing on the cake
"The Team Award in particular makes us really proud because it suits us. The team is the only reason it works at all," assures Karel Korner Managing Director Judith Lauber, a native of Freiburg. To say that after five years it would be the icing on the cake: an understatement!
"The Karel Korner is a community project, none of us is ever alone. We are a fair, grown team, a family," she describes. Lauber helped build the bar from the beginning six years ago. Not counting the Corona crisis, however, the bar will now celebrate its fifth anniversary in autumn.
Best Bar Team - because the Karel Korner does many things differently
At Karel Korner, "characters" pull together. They are employees from different nations with different, personal stories that shape the team formation and complement each other in an impressive way.
Lauber relies on her gut feeling when putting together the team: "I'm not interested in the background. The feeling has to be right. "It's like a family, the team spirit, the early hours of the night together and the team of friends. All this makes it nice to come to work," says Tim Mannweiler, who joined Karel Korner three months before Lockdown.
Especially during this extreme time, the strength of confidentiality came to the fore. Even the bar menu Vol. 6 with signature drinks in mood categories such as "pulsating, umami or wanderlust" was created during this time. Of course, the team of seven with a high proportion of women.
In every bar, it is the team that not only ensures great cocktails, but above all atmosphere, mood and well-being. The interaction of the Barkeeper, their interaction with each other, their rapport are important parameters that make a guest feel well taken care of in an upscale drinking establishment.
The team of Lucerne's Karel Korner Bar was named the best in Switzerland at the SWISS BAR AWARDS 2021. It is not for nothing that the category is now considered a constant in the round of the most coveted trophies of Swiss bar culture after the second time.
In the competition for the title of Best Bar Team, the Lucerne establishment prevailed over the team strengths of Zurich's Dolder Grand and Widder Bar.
