Four more months and then the 20th SWISS BAR AWARDS will be awarded. In order to be able to hold this spectacular event on Sunday, 23 October, registrations are needed. And it is precisely these that are setting a new record in this anniversary year.
Pre-qualification
But there is still a lot to do before the legendary event. First, the longlist with its seven categories will be published on 27 June. Then, on 29 August, the best ten or five in the categories Barkeeper of the Year and Best Barkeeper Talent will compete against each other. For the qualification, the participants present their own cocktail creation in front of a jury of experts and write a written test.
The shortlist will be published on 12 September, with the locals being featured in print and online. All nominees from the shortlist are invited to the big award night.
Lifetime Award is presented
In the anniversary year, a Lifetime Award will also be presented for special services to the Swiss bar scene. It was not possible to apply for this award.
Fine dinner, mix battle and after party
In addition to numerous surprises and a fine dinner, the mixing of the five finalists on the big stage in the category Barkeeper of the Year is certainly one of the highlights of the evening. The award ceremony will be followed by an attractive after-party at the TRAFO Baden.
