The main grape variety from which this Ruby Port is made is the famous Touriga Nacional. It grows at high altitudes and is harvested by hand at night to ensure a pronounced freshness.
The grapes are then cold fermented to preserve the primary aromas and intensity. Unlike most Ruby Ports, Blend Nº 12 has not been aged in oak and is bottled young to maximise concentration and flavour.
