As BCB Director of Education, Priyanka Blah is responsible for the content concept of the education program for the first time - in collaboration with Eleni Nikoloulia, Damien Guichard and Maria Gorbatschova from the Education Board of the Bar Convent Berlin.
BCB 2025 provides new impetus on various stages and in a variety of formats - from strategic panels and interactive workshops to brand-driven tastings. Key topics range from sustainable bar management and creative product development to work culture and leadership. This year, there will also be a special focus on the topic of wine in the bar: every day, a slot on a different stage will be dedicated specifically to wine-related content - for example on wine cocktails, Low-ABV, costing and the economic potential of wine lists.
"This year's program has been curated with great care and vision - with topics that really move the industry," says Priyanka Blah. "I am particularly enthusiastic about the diversity of perspectives, formats and voices. This is exactly what makes the BCB a place where knowledge, exchange and new impulses come together at eye level. "
The BCB Embassy: curated stage meets bar experience
One of the content highlights is the newly designed BCB Embassy - a themed area that combines education, bar culture and experience. Each of the three days of the trade fair has its own trend theme:
- Day 1: Low & No
- Day 2: Classics
- Day 3: Next Generation
In addition to workshops and tastings curated by the Education Board and selected partner brands, the Embassy bar plays a central role: it is hosted by the Botanical by Alfonse bar team, whose drinks are directly related to the respective day's themes.
Working Wednesday: Young talent meets the industry
A new format is celebrating its premiere in 2025 with Working Wednesday. The Wednesday focuses specifically on young talents, students and young professionals from the hospitality industry. "I am delighted that we are creating a stage for the next generation with Working Wednesday," says Petra Lassahn, Director of the BCB. "It's about real encounters, inspiration and perspectives - for young talents as well as for the companies that want to shape the future together with them."
