For collectors and fans, it is not only the comparison of the individual malts per series that is particularly exciting, but also the differences from one series to the next. The maturation period of an Octomore is usually 5 years and the barley malt is heavily peated. With the 15th edition, Bruichladdich Distillery is launching a new series of heavily peated single malt octomore on the market.
The experimental trio of limited edition bottlings are distilled with the aim of pushing the boundaries of whisky making by combining the origin of the barley, the type of cask and the different peat strengths. Each whisky in the 15 series has its own character while remaining true to the typical Octomore DNA.
