The Valais and the Rhone Valley are the best terroir for growing the Williams pear thanks to their climate and particularly fertile soil. Jean-Pierre Morand, from the fourth generation of the family, is delighted: "In the Williamine sur Fruit, the distinctive, unique fruit aroma of the Williams pear comes out perfectly. It's like tasting the ripe fruit, which grows nowhere as well as in Valais."
