Two traditional family businesses from the Swiss spirits world are thus entering into a forward-looking partnership - with the aim of exploiting synergies, strengthening the presence of strong Swiss brands and offering specialist retailers and the catering trade an even wider range of first-class products from a single source.
The traditional Distillerie Morand from Martigny is particularly well known for its award-winning fruit brandies such as the legendary Williamine and the Abricotine AOP made from Valais apricots. In recent years, Morand has also established a high-quality range of syrups that are highly regarded both in the catering trade and in specialist shops.
"The integration of Morand products into our distribution is the next strategic step in the continuous optimization of our portfolio - from high-quality spirits to non-alcoholic indulgence solutions such as Morand syrups," says Jonathan Schönberger, Managing Director of Distillerie Studer. "We have been systematically pursuing the diversification of our product range for several years now - including in the rapidly growing non-alcoholic segment. This partnership allows us to serve our customers in an even more targeted manner while continuing to focus on the highest quality and regional roots."
For generations, both Morand and Studer have stood for the highest quality, innovative strength and deep roots in regional craftsmanship. The collaboration in German-speaking Switzerland is a logical step on the way to strengthening the market presence of both companies in the long term.
Fabrice Haenni, CEO of Morand, adds: "In Studer, we have found a strong and reliable partner who shares our philosophy. This collaboration is an important step for us to consolidate and further expand our position in German-speaking Switzerland in the long term."
