The restaurant underwent a complete renovation during the winter months and reopened to its first guests on Saturday, March 14, 2026, under its new name, Kunos Restaurant. The opening ceremony on March 18 was attended by invited guests from the city of Steckborn, the tourism industry, and partners. The new Kunos Restaurant is located within the venerable walls of the refectory (dining hall) of the former monastery.
The large window façade offers a view of Lake Untersee. The wooden floor exudes warmth, and the fireplace in the center of the room creates a cozy atmosphere. The restaurant seats a total of 60 guests. Chef Nicolas Lilla’s philosophy combines casual fine dining with down-to-earth, authentic cuisine. The focus is on traditional classics, given a creative and modern twist. At Kunos Restaurant, all guests—whether travelers, workers, or neighbors—are equally welcome.
The Turmbar, located in the attic of the former monastery building, has also been carefully renovated and reopened on Saturday, March 14. A spiral staircase in the historic onion-domed tower leads to this cozy retreat. With its hardwood floors, open fireplace, and original exposed wooden beams, the space is ideal for an after-dinner drink or an aperitif for up to 30 people.
“It is important to us that guests continue to feel the history of the hotel,” emphasizes Jeremy Peyer, Managing Director of See & Park Hotel Feldbach AG. “At the same time, we wanted to create a modern, timeless space where guests can relax and enjoy themselves—a place where they’ll want to stay a little longer than planned.”
