Orma opens whisky distillery on Corvatsch 3303 m a.s.l.

On 10 October, the highest whisky distillery in the world opens on Corvatsch. The Swiss whisky manufacturer Orma, in cooperation with Corvatsch AG, will offer a unique experience at 3303 metres above sea level from December. Guided tours and tastings with spectacular views will bring visitors closer to the liquid gold.

Alcohol statistics 2018/2019 of Switzerland

Mr and Mrs Swiss drank slightly less alcohol in 2019 than in the previous year. Per capita consumption of wine fell by 8 dl. While spirits consumption remained constant, beer consumption by the average Swiss rose by one large (5 dl).
