Final recipes of the Swiss Bar Awards 2024

At the grand finale of Award Night 2024, the finalists mixed creative and innovative drink recipes.

The three finalists each had to present two of their own creations to the jury - a short drink and a long drink. This challenge demanded not only creativity, but also technical skill. The jury then judged the cocktails according to numerous criteria. Below are the recipes for the impressive cocktail creations.

East 8th Street

Short drink from Alessandro Cogoni

3 clMaker's Mark Bourbon Whisky
3 clMiso Butter & Banana Skin Sherry (Homemade)
1.5 clBols Crème de Banana Liqueur
0.5 clMorand Mixology Line - Quince
0.5 clMacadamia Nut Syrup Monin

Decoration: Isomalt emerald coin and banana siphon cake - Served on a wooden tray.

Preparation: Stir and strain, pour into a rocks glass over a large block of ice.

Querencia

Long drink from Alessandro Cogoni

4 clTequila Olmeca Altos Reposado
4 clMakrut lime leaves, Sauterne & Coconut Cordial (Homemade)
1.5 clMorand Mixology Line - Williamin
1 clJasmine Syrup Monin
4.5 clAegean Tonic Water Three Cents

Decoration: Nasturtium gel and coconut liquid - served on a concrete holder.

Preparation: Shake and double strain, pour into a highball glass over a large ice spear, top up with Aegean Tonic.

2.5 clLe Tribute Gin
6 clGrapefruit sorbet (Homemade)
1 clLemongrass Syrup Monin

Decoration: Ground Timut pepper

Preparation: Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl and serve in cocktail glasses.

Bonds on the Rocks

Longdrink by Natascha Galus

4 clRum Havana Club Añejo 7 Años
2 clRasperry Confit
2 clBlackberry Shrub (Homemade)
7 clSoda Water Three Cents

Decoration: Edible flowers and edible glitter dust

Preparation: Pour the rum, rasperry confit and blackberry shrub into a shaker and toss. Pour into a highball glass with ice and top up with soda.


Drink of the gods

Shortdrink by Noah Hoffmann

2 clRum Havana Club Seleccion de Maestros
1 clTequila Olmeca Altos Reposado
1 clMonin sugar syrup
3 clMead (Homemade)
1 clGonzalez Byass Sherry Palomino Pedro Ximenez

Decoration: Honeycomb-shaped cookie

Preparation: Pour all the ingredients into a shaker and toss 2-3 times with ice. Then strain into a chilled glass and garnish.

Red Zora

Long drink from Noah Hoffmann

5.5 clLe Tribute Gin
2 clCranberry juice Ocean Spray
3 clBeetroot / sour cherry and cranberry / lime cordial (homemade)
3 DashesAngostura Cocoa bitters
2 clCherry Soda Three Cents

Decoration: Beetroot chip

Preparation: Pour all ingredients except the soda into a shaker and shake vigorously. Strain into a chilled glass, top up with the soda and garnish.
